Welcome Aboard!

If you're tired of the 9 to 5 rat race, you've come to the right place. Follow our journey to freedom, one build project at a time.

Welcome to Genik's On The Go!

We’re the Genik family—four adventurers with a dream, building our way to freedom, one project at a time. Right now, that means bringing our 48-foot Bruce Roberts Spray sailboat to life in Thunder Bay, Ontario. It’s never even touched the water yet, but we’re determined to change that—doing most of the work ourselves, because why not? (Even when the weather’s cold enough to freeze your tools to the deck, we keep pushing forward.)

Life’s too short to stay stuck in the 9-5 grind. So, we’re not just building a boat—we’re building our freedom. Between the boat, home renovations, and prepping for our big escape, we’re taking on challenges headfirst. If you’ve ever dreamed of ditching the rat race or you’re knee-deep in your own DIY adventure, then we’re right there with you.

Sure, it’s not always glamorous (BOAT = Bring Out Another Thousand, anyone?), but every step is part of the fun. We hope to inspire you to chase your own adventure, no matter how many unfinished projects stand in your way.

Follow us on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram as we share the chaos, the wins, and the laughs. Because in the end, life isn’t just about getting to your destination—it’s about enjoying the ride.
